Hey There
David and Judy here. Our story begins in 2010 off the coast of Japan when David asked to borrow Judy's black shoe polish onboard the Navy Destroyer in which they were assigned. A year later (days before Judy was reassigned!), they went on their first date. After David retired from the Navy in 2025, we and our three spirited kiddos moved to New Glarus, Wisconsin to help others discover the joy of good food, fresh air, and a loving community through our farm stay.
More About Us
Food is David's love language. Despite his Navy career taking him around the world flying helicopters and teaching midshipmen at the US Naval Academy, alma mater, he has always found a way to grow food and feed people, whether from his back yard, on a warship, or in the classroom. Knowing he wanted to farm as his second career, he completed the Rodale Institute's Veteran Training Program in 2022 to support his goal of growing the most delicious AND nutritious produce he can, all while building up the earth rather than depleting it.

Judy's passion lies in health and well-being. As a certified professional coach, she loves creating space for others to discover what brings them to life and then find a way to use these gifts to positively impact those around them. Because she tends to work with service-oriented professionals, conversations often revolve around self-care needs, specifically how nutrition, sleep, and physical fitness can support a higher quality of life for these selfless individuals. On the farm, she takes a special interest in medicinal and culinary uses of herbs.

Together, David and Judy love to open their home and are known for their spectacular gatherings. They are thrilled to have more space (the first party they threw hosted about 60 people in a 600 sq ft condo!) to open their gatherings to more people! They truly do hope to meet you, whether you stop by to purchase produce, go on a tour of the farm, or book a stay in the farmhouse or through Harvest Host!

Benefits For You
Mental, physical, and spiritual

Organic produce, outdoor activities, and quality time with family and friends play a vital role in enhancing our overall well-being. Consuming organic produce nourishes our bodies with essential nutrients, promoting physical health and vitality. Engaging in outdoor activities not only boosts physical fitness but also mental clarity and reduces stress. Additionally, bonding with loved ones and neighbors fosters emotional support and strengthens connections, contributing to a balanced spiritual life. Together, these elements create a harmonious lifestyle that nurtures our mind, body, and spirit.
Benefits For the Community
Supports a family business in a historic town

Supporting a small, family and veterans-owned farm brings numerous benefits to our small community. It helps preserve our local Swiss heritage and promotes sustainable farming practices that benefit both people and the environment. Additionally, your patronage fosters economic growth by keeping money within the community, which can lead to job creation and improved local services, helping this vibrant historic town thrive for years to come.
Benefits For the Environment
Builds soil while sequestering carbon

Regenerative farming practices play a vital role in building healthy soil and sequestering carbon from the atmosphere. By utilizing techniques such crop rotation, cover cropping, and reduced tillage, these practices enhance soil structure and fertility. This not only improves the land's productivity but also helps mitigate climate change by capturing and storing carbon in the soil. Ultimately, regenerative farming contributes to a more sustainable environment, ecosystems and wildlife.
