We at Acres Aweigh Farm Stay are working to make our site acresaweighfarmstay.com accessible to people with disabilities.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We are actively working to ensure our website is accessible to all users and aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA where practical.

Our efforts include:

  • Providing alternative text for images

  • Maintaining readable color contrast

  • Supporting keyboard navigation

  • Using clear structure and headings for easy browsing

 

We view accessibility as an ongoing effort and continue to improve our website over time.

Accessibility arrangements on he farm

As a working farm, certain areas may present natural challenges such as gravel paths, uneven ground, and rural terrain. However, we take steps to improve accessibility across our property:

 

Farmhouse Accommodations

  • We have grab bars installed in the bathroom shower/tub combo

  • Retractable gate installed at the top of the stairs and a swing door at the bottom to restrict access as needed

  • All bedrooms, along with the living room have blackout curtains, ceiling fans, and lamps to adjust to lighting and temperature of the space

  • All cleaning products and toiletries are fragrance-free and receive a B or higher from the Environmental Working Group to reduce allergic reactions or sensory sensitivity​

 

RV Parking

  • Level parking area

  • Space for accessible RV setups

  • Access to utilities (water, electric)

Events & Gatherings

  • Flexible event spaces with seating accommodations

  • Assistance available for guests with mobility needs

  • Clear communication about terrain and accessibility prior to events

​

General Amenities

  • Designated parking areas near main activity spaces

  • Staff available to assist guests as needed
